Therapeutic Consultations

Therapeutic Consultations in Little Rock and Online

Helping other therapeutic providers discover ways to navigate therapy when neurodivergence might be at play.

Working with neurodivergent clients can often be challenging.

Most people who start Therapeutic Consultations feel stuck in a rut, unable to move forward with at least one of their clients. Perhaps you can relate. Maybe you feel like misattunement or bad sessions happen more often with that client than normal for you.

Stuck in negativity and feeling frustrated, you may feel like your work life is exhausting.

Do You Feel Irritated, Lost, Overwhelmed?

Do any of the following resonate with you?

  • You find yourself labeling the client as "resistant"
  • You feel dread or overwhelm when you see the client's name on your schedule
  • You know you're a good clinician, but you can't seem to make progress with this client
  • You leave sessions angry, overwhelmed, or frustrated

If these sound true for you, we want you to know that even though you might feel like a failure for needing help, that couldn't be further from the truth. It takes courage to become aware about what you are going through and ask for help.

It's not a failure to seek consultation, even after you've been doing this for years. It's especially important to take care of your side of the room so you can guide the other side.

Therapeutic Consultations Can Help You Find Momentum With "That Client"

It’s possible to feel better. Imagine a life where you could...

  • Feel confident about the work you do with all clients
  • Have improved attitude, mood, and productivity in all sessions
  • Expand your professional skills to fit all clients
  • Have more attuned sessions with all clients

Change Your Perspective on Challenging Cases

Therapeutic Consultations helps you rise above your challenges and start moving towards your normal therapeutic work with less stress and more calm.

You will get the fresh perspective you need to find your way through difficult feelings and situations and see patterns that you couldn't on your own.

Even if you are fearful about talking about your professional challenges, Therapeutic Consultations may be able to help. We've helped other clinicians gain an accurate understanding of neurodiversity, the neurodivergent experience, and how this influences therapy. After our conversations, other healthcare providers discover it's possible to work effectively with these clients once they make a few perspective adjustments after gaining more accurate insight.

How Therapeutic Consultations Works

Therapeutic Consultations consists of 60-minute, one-on-one sessions that help you work through your concerns. In addition to listening, your therapist will motivate you with ideas and provide guidance based on their experience, they play an active role. Here’s how it will work step-by-step:

1. First, Rae will provide a safe, accepting space so you will feel comfortable sharing your situation with them.

2. Through hearing your story, we will work together to address immediate concerns and/or safety issues in your case.

3. Next Rae will help you identify what misunderstandings or miscommunications may be occurring as well as how to repair what's happened and prevent it from happening again.

4. Keeping your unique goals in mind, we'll figure out what’s needed to help you reach them.

5. Over the course of our conversation(s), you will start making progress towards the practice you desire.
