Talk Therapy

Individual Therapy in Little Rock, AR

Helping adults discover ways to manage whatever life throws at them.

Sometimes life sucks. Perhaps right now, it's one of those times.

Most people who start individual therapy feel stuck repeating the same painful patterns. Perhaps you can relate? Maybe you feel like you want to escape your life or you know you'd be happier if you made changes but it feels safer and more comfortable to stay the same.

Stuck in negativity and feeling overwhelmed all the time, you may feel like life is being spent on other people.

Do You Feel Panicky, Ashamed, Overwhelmed?

Do any of the following resonate with you?

  • You feel lonely, even when you are with others.
  • You feel unable to do your day-to-day responsibilities.
  • You are in a constant state of panic, and it rules your life.
  • You feel fear stricken, even in the "comfort" of your own home.
  • You feel like you're living at a frenzied pace leaving you frazzled and stressed.

If these sound true for you, we want you to know that even though you might feel like a failure for needing help, that couldn't be further from the truth. It takes courage to become aware about what you are going through and ask for help.

It's not selfish to prioritize caring for yourself. You don't have to always prioritize work or your family’s needs over your own.

Individual Therapy Can Help You Feel Like Your Real Self Again

It’s possible to feel better. Imagine a life where you could...

  • Control how you respond to anxious thoughts.
  • Finally be free from years of constant anxiety and panic attacks.
  • Improve your relationship with yourself and those you choose to share yourself with.
  • Create a more meaningful life based on who you are and what you desire.
  • Get to the root problems and solve those instead of using band-aids.

How Individual Therapy Works

Individual therapy consists of 50-minute sessions to help you work through your concerns one-on-one with your therapist. Jackson also offers a 90-minute session option. In addition to listening, your therapist will guide you towards solutions and share what the science tells us about what's going on for you. They play an active role. Here’s how it will work step-by-step:

1. First, your therapist will provide a safe, accepting space so that you will feel comfortable sharing your struggles with them.

2. Through hearing your story, your therapist will start to get a picture of what your challenges are.

3. Next your therapist will start helping you with immediate concerns like managing difficult emotions and challenging situations.

4. You will also work together to discover what your goals are in therapy and in life.

5. Keeping your unique goals in mind, we’ll figure out what’s needed to help you reach them. Over the course of your sessions, you will start making progress towards the life you desire!

Research shows that individual therapy can positively change your thinking, beliefs, emotions, and behaviors. It can help you let go of what’s holding you back.
